This training will use Courageous Leadership in Early Childhood Education: Taking a Stand for Social Justice, Souto-Manning, M., Vasquez, V. (Eds.) as the main book.  Occurring over 4 sessions, participants will read, share, and discuss insights gained through selected readings of text with fellow participants and the state-approved trainer. This text focuses on stories told by various “early childhood leaders who take action to challenge and change inequitable educational practices in preschools and elementary school.” Both discussion and reflection periods will allow participants to analyze and/ or compare their own beliefs and practices with ideas brought up by authors/editors.
