This session will focus on Math Anywhere! activities designed to elicit conversations about shapes. Math is all around us but often goes unnoticed, especially by grown-ups who have learned to tune out color, form, and sound in our environment and focus their attention more narrowly. Try out the activities yourself and learn about resources for educators, caregivers, and families.

Session topics:

• Noticing what children notice
• Prompts to inspire noticing shape
• What can grown-ups do to foster thinking about shape?

This online course is part of a series of five Math Anywhere! courses. Course sessions can be taken in any order and at any time. Clock Hours or STARS credits are available (3 hours) upon completion of this course session. This course will be hosted via the AESD Canvas platform.
