Can we support all students who need intervention within our current systems? How do we sustain literacy improvement efforts over time while also preparing for the implementation of Washington's revised ELA standards? In this book study, we will use Brown and Stollar's MTSS for Reading Improvement to explore how school and district leaders can identify variables, align systems, and build the conditions necessary for improved literacy outcomes. Participants will examine how an MTSS framework supports science-aligned reading instruction, continuous improvement efforts, and strategic planning for standards implementation. This learning opportunity is designed to help leaders and teams strengthen systems, support educators, and prepare for meaningful, sustainable change in service of student success.
