Regional Mathematics Leadership Series

Regional Mathematics Leadership Series

August 10-12 2026 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Presenters

  • Ryan Chinchen
  • Molly Daley
  • Erin Lucich

Description

What to Bring: Laptop or other device for note-taking and participation

What to Expect:

Over the course of the day, we'll engage in learning that invites us to think deeply about mathematics, teaching, and leadership. Together, we will:

  • Experience mathematics as learners by doing math together.

  • Explore classroom practice through videos, vignettes, and examples across grades TK–12.

  • Develop a greater appreciation for the mathematics journey students experience from early learning through graduation.

  • Learn from research, articles, and national experts in mathematics education.

  • Reflect on our own mathematical experiences, beliefs, and leadership practices.

  • Strengthen our leadership lens as we consider how to support meaningful mathematics learning in our schools and districts.

What You'll Walk Away With:

By the end of the day, you will have:

  • A stronger, shared vision for high-quality mathematics teaching and learning.

  • Practical ideas and tools for cultivating a classroom culture that supports curiosity, sense-making, and student agency.

  • Concrete next steps you can take in your role—whether as a teacher leader, instructional coach, building administrator, district leader, or regional partner.

  • A broader understanding of how to monitor progress, measure impact, and use evidence to guide continuous improvement.

Looking Ahead:

Our regional work is designed to move us closer to the state and national vision for mathematics described by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). If you'd like a preview before our three-day learning experience, we encourage you to review the accompanying NCTM vision document.
