Teaching and learning improve when educators have the capacity to make sense of evidence, engage in meaningful instructional conversations, and create structures that support collective learning.

This learning series brings together educators who influence teaching and learning in different ways, including teacher leaders, instructional coaches, deans, interns, principals, district leaders, and those exploring leadership.

Across the series, we will move from making sense of data, to using data in learning-focused conversations, to building shared leadership and structures that move instructional improvement forward.

Mathematics will provide an important context for our learning, while the leadership practices and tools will be applicable across content areas and roles.

You will have opportunities to:

• Examine what data can (and cannot) tell us about teaching and learning.

• Move from reviewing data to developing meaningful questions and possible stories.

• Practice coaching and instructional leadership conversations that promote reflection and learning.

• Explore structures that distribute leadership and create shared responsibility for instructional improvement.

• Apply the learning to an authentic challenge in your own context.

• Learn alongside educators in different leadership roles and settings.

You don't need a particular title to participate. If you influence teaching and learning, lead adult learning, or are interested in developing your instructional leadership practice, there is a place for you in the series.
