This training will help educators, parents and guardians understand how social media platforms have become gateways for youth to access dangerous substances. Attendees will learn to identify digital drug-related slang and symbols, implement effective monitoring strategies, engage in open dialogue with their children, and collaborate with schools, policymakers, and platforms to address the problem at hand. Through visual examples, case studies, research findings, and data-driven insights, the session will set the backdrop and share actionable prevention and response approaches to leave attendees empowered and encouraged to better safeguard the youth in their lives.
