We want to sincerely thank you for registering for the upcoming Gang 102 training and for your continued commitment to this important work. After careful review and several conversations with partners across our region, we have made the decision to cancel the scheduled training session. We recognize that changes like this can be inconvenient, and I truly appreciate your understanding. Through these discussions, we identified significant value in offering this training directly within districts. Providing the training in-district allows teams to participate together, tailor discussions to local processes and needs, and create more meaningful collaboration among staff who work closely with one another day to day. If your district is interested in hosting this training locally, I would be more than happy to coordinate with you. Please feel free to reach out, and we can explore options that best support your team. Thank you again for your interest and for the work you continue to do in supporting students and school communities. I look forward to staying connected and hopefully working together soon. Description
Gang 102 is designed for multidisciplinary school teams (administrators, school counselors, school psychologists, SROs/SSOs, probation, behavioral health, sped case manager, Level 2 community threat assessment partners) who have completed Gang 101 and are ready to translate awareness into action. Drawing on the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s (OJJDP) Comprehensive Gang Model and insights from the Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators, this session guides participants through planning and implementation of coordinated prevention, intervention and suppression strategies.
The training will explore who needs to be at the table for consistency, inclusion and safety, including administrators, counselors, psychologists, school resource officers, community partners and families. The course emphasizes that success comes from engaging youth and families beyond the school day, building a climate of belonging, and coordinating responses across schools, law enforcement and community organizations.
