Description
Creating a positive, inclusive school culture requires a balance of high expectations, strong relationships, and proactive behavior supports. This interactive professional development session will equip school staff with strategies to build and maintain a culture where all students feel supported, engaged, and accountable for their actions. Participants will explore the key components of a positive school climate and learn how to reinforce high expectations while implementing effective behavior strategies. Through real-world case scenarios, staff will practice applying these strategies to common challenges faced at the building level. A key feature of this session will be scenario-based problem-solving. Participants will engage in structured role-play activities which will help staff develop confidence in responding proactively and restoratively when student behavior challenges arise. By the end of this session, participants will leave with practical tools to foster a safe, supportive, and high-expectations learning environment for all students.
