This in-person course will provide the information and skills to qualify participants to be a Parent Designated Adult (PDA), in the school setting to help care for students who have diabetes to ensure a safe, therapeutic learning environment.

This course will cover:

*Diabetes in a school setting
*Understanding of how diabetes affects the body
*Rules, regulations and laws surrounding diabetes care in schools
*Treatment and administering medication/calculating doses
*Care plans and school activities
