HB 1214 defines and describes a training series to be administered to all school safety staff (referred to as “SSS”). SSS are defined as employees whose full time job duties are entirely concerned with providing safety and security in schools. This group includes SRO’s (commissioned law enforcement officers), SSO’s (school employed safety and security staff) and private security company employees contracted by districts. 

This course is offered at no cost for all School Safety and Security staff working with Public, Charter and Tribal schools.
