Designed for busy educators, this asynchronous course offers a flexible learning opportunity to build knowledge, skills, and awareness of best practices for supporting students with neurodiverse brains - on your own schedule.

Class Description: This training helps school staff understand the science behind ADHD and what it can actually feel like for students throughout the school day — not just as a checklist of symptoms, but as a whole-brain, whole-body experience that affects attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, impulse control, motivation, organization, peer relationships, and access to learning.

We’ll look at the different ways ADHD can show up in the classroom, including hyperactive, inattentive, and combined presentations. We’ll also explore what can happen when ADHD is misunderstood or unsupported, including anxiety, school avoidance, behavior concerns, low self-esteem, peer conflict, and students who begin to shut down.

The goal of this training is to help educators recognize what may be happening underneath the behavior, so they can respond with more clarity, compassion, and practical support — in ways that help students access learning, build self-advocacy, and recognize and use their strengths.

Course Designer & Presenter: Jenny Bethke is an Advanced Certified ADHD Life Coach (A-CALC) who helps adults, parents, and educators better understand ADHD through practical, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches. Drawing from both her professional training and lived experience with inattentive-type ADHD, she specializes in helping people move from overwhelm to greater clarity, confidence, and joy. Based near Bellingham, Washington, Jenny also provides professional development for educators, equipping school staff with practical strategies and deeper empathy to better support neurodivergent students.
