This is a free, self-paced, asynchronous course developed by OSPI’s Media Literacy & Digital Citizenship Program Supervisor Lesley James and offered by the AESD EdTech Leads from ESDs 101, 189, 123, and 114.

This course is relevant for any educator, in any role, who is looking for Media Literacy & Digital Citizenship instructional resources designed for students in Grades K-5.

This course consists of three modules that introduce the free resources available from Be Internet Awesome, Common Sense Media, and MediaSmarts, followed by a fourth module that compares the collections. 

Participants are not required to complete every module; clock hours will be awarded based on modules that are completed. Please note that the clock hours are not STEM clock hours.
