Description
In light of the recent failure of HB 1915, which would have made financial education instruction a graduation prerequisite, the conference aims to bridge the financial training gap in our K-12 educational system. Don’t wait for the legislation, attend workshops and access resources to advance economic and financial literacy in Washington right now! Join fellow educators, business leaders, and government officials to tackle pressing economic issues and engage in a unique professional development opportunity for Washington educators looking for active participation materials you can introduce in your classroom this fall.
Hosted by Western Washington University, the Washington Council for Economic and Financial Education, and the Financial Education Public-Private Partnership, this one-day event at Western Washington University will explore economics and personal finance education and its impact on Washington's economy.
All ticket fees include 5.5 Clock hours, educational sessions, breakfast, lunch and networking reception.
Students and Pre-service Educators - $25
In-service Educators - $50
All Others - $75
All registration fees go to the Washington Council for Economic and Financial Education, which funds professional development for K-12 educators focused on teaching economics and personal finance.
