Rooted & Rising: Restoring Balance Through Land, Culture & Traditional Teachings

Founded in 1974, the Western WA Native American Education Consortium (WWNAEC) is a group of public school educators across Western Washington who work with Native American students, with each program funded through the federal Office of Indian Education Title VI program. The consortium supports Title VI Indian Education through conferences, materials, and training; oversees the Native American Youth Leadership Academy; and sponsors the WWNAEC Merit Awards for high school seniors pursuing higher education.
