These bi-monthly roundtables offer a supportive (virtual) space specifically for mentors who guide novice Education Staff Associates (ESAs) navigating the public school system with a special education focus. Grounded in the OSPI BEST Mentoring Standards, this series is designed to address the distinct challenges and unique professional identities of ESAs—who often balance specialized clinical expertise with complex school-based regulations.  Mentors can expect a collaborative environment where they can grow and refine their mentoring skills, reflect on how to support novice ESAs serving in highly specialized, often isolated roles, and build community among mentors across the state who might be facing shared challenges/barriers.

Mentor Roundtable Scope and Sequence

Roundtables are ongoing opportunities for mentors who have taken Mentor Academy 101 to continue learning in community. BEST's Roundtable offerings are open invitations. Participants can attend one or all sessions of one or more Roundtables based on their needs and interests.

1. Clock hours will be calculated based on the actual amount of time participating in sessions.
2. Participants can mix and match sessions between the variety of Roundtables.
3. Clock hours will be processed in June after all sessions are concluded.
