In these ongoing professional development sessions, you will explore knowledge and skills for coaching and mentoring to support novice educators. Our work, grounded in the BEST Mentor Standards, is focused on offering support, creating cognitive challenge, and facilitating professional vision for novice educators. You will explore a variety of resources and have time with other coaches and mentors to reflect on and build your practice. We will focus on educator wellness and the whole person. You will walk away with tools and skills that you can apply in your work to support novices to better meet their students' needs. Topics include: equity, building learning-focused relationships, observation and feedback, listening, pausing, paraphrasing, reflective best practice, goal setting, and more.

Mentor Roundtable Scope and Sequence

Roundtables are ongoing opportunities for mentors who have taken Mentor Academy 101 to continue learning in community. BEST's Roundtable offerings are open invitations. Participants can attend one or all sessions of one or more Roundtables based on their needs and interests.

1. Clock hours will be calculated based on the actual amount of time participating in sessions.
2. Participants can mix and match sessions between the variety of Roundtables.
3. Clock hours will be processed in June after all sessions are concluded.
