General: The Mentor Round Table is a collaborative, reflective learning community designed for both novice and experienced mentors and instructional coaches who support early-career and developing educators. This includes full-release mentors, colleague mentors, and coaches working across elementary, secondary, and district-level settings who share a commitment to educator growth and advancing equitable outcomes for all students.

Grounded in the OSPI BEST Mentor Standards, each session explores key mentoring and coaching practices such as building trust, facilitating reflective conversations, providing effective feedback, and supporting educator development. Sessions draw from a range of respected frameworks and resources, including the work of Elena Aguilar, Jim Knight, and Lipton & Wellman, among others.

The Round Table is intentionally interactive and responsive to participant needs. Ongoing feedback and monthly surveys guide session design so that learning is relevant to the real challenges and contexts participants are navigating throughout the year. Participants can expect opportunities to share experiences, practice skills, engage in choice-based learning, and access a variety of practical resources.

Mentor Roundtable Scope and Sequence

Roundtables are ongoing opportunities for mentors who have taken Mentor Academy 101 to continue learning in community. BEST's Roundtable offerings are open invitations. Participants can attend one or all sessions of one or more Roundtables based on their needs and interests.

1. Clock hours will be calculated based on the actual amount of time participating in sessions.
2. Participants can mix and match sessions between the variety of Roundtables.
3. Clock hours will be processed in June after all sessions are concluded.
