Mentor Academy 101 is a three part event focused on the development of foundational mentor and coaching skills and knowledge. This training is intended for experienced educators who will be supporting the instructional growth and development of novice educators, although the skills transfer to work with veteran educators, too. Topics include: understanding the functions of mentoring, facilitating learning-focused conversations, using instructional frameworks to promote growth, conducting observations and providing effective feedback, gathering data, promoting equitable classrooms, and maintaining confidentiality.
