Welcome to this training course for educational interpreters working outside the classroom setting, funded by the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). This project aims to enhance language access for parents and families in Washington State by providing comprehensive knowledge and training for interpreters and dual-role bilingual staff.
In this self-paced online training, you will explore the essential role of interpreters and dual-role bilingual staff when working with parents and families with limited English proficiency. You will gain a deep understanding of national ethics and standards of interpreting, the different modes of interpreting, the various challenges and best practices in the field and so much more.
