Description
Let’s get our classrooms in order for whatever the 2020-21 year brings.
Over this 4 week, asynchronous course (Monday, August 3 - Friday August 28), we will work independently and collaboratively to
Prepare lesson plan structures for the entire course
Build out specifics for the first 6 weeks of instruction
Create structures for orchestrating blended learning
Embed productive routines to engage each learner
Embed equitable teaching practices
Earn 15-30 STEM clock hours while we will address the practical details of organizing and planning out our blended learning classrooms for the 2020-21 school year. Whatever your curriculum, whatever your learning management system, and however blended your classroom will be—let’s get ready.
Weekly areas of focus:
Welcome the learner: Purposefully build rapport and invite each person.
Engage the learner: Use routines to implement equitable practices.
Empower the learner: Make structures to develop identity and agency.
Support the learner: Provide structures for effective discourse and reflection.
Tools for the learner: Equip your classroom with needed technology.
Assessment for the learner: Help each learner know how to grow.
Monday, August 3 - Friday August 28
Live, weekly launch each Monday 9:00-11:00 am and 3:00-5:00 pm (choose one, both recorded).
Live, weekly check-in each Wednesday 4:00-5:30 pm (recorded).
