Description
This teacher training prepares classroom teachers in the use of the Mental Health and High School Curriculum Resource in their classroom, providing a basic overview of mental health and illness and orientation to the teaching materials.
WA OSPI identified the Mental Health and High School Curriculum Resource for use in high schools, and mapped the resource to confirm alignment with the 2016 Health Education K-12 Learning Standards (H1-8) when fully implemented with fidelity. The curriculum resource improves mental health literacy, is medically accurate and designed for classroom settings, and is widely taught in schools across Canada and internationally. Participants should be teachers with support to attend from their school or district administrators.
