Description
Tired of assigning a research project and watching students immediately go to Wikipedia or asking Siri instead of easily finding grade level appropriate, accurate, and valid information? An educational consultant from GALE systems will be here to show us how students can best use the research databases they can access through the IMS library right on their iPads. The GALE databases include research materials for all classes. Some of the features you will be able to share with students are how to translate the information, access multi-media links, and highlight and take notes as they read or listen to the material. You will receive tech training credit for this session.
Topics covered will include the following:
- How to use topic finder – (great for students that need to narrow the scope of a research project
- Translation Mode
- Integration with Google Drive and OneDrive
- Creating Bookshelves for research projects
- Highlighting and Notes
- Using Google for Classroom
