Description
Project FIT is a three-part series offered over the school year aimed at helping district staff partner with members of the migrant Parent Advisory Council (PAC) in the design, implementation, and evaluation of their local Migrant Education Program (MEP), a required component of Title 1 Part C. Beyond meeting requirements, Project FIT facilitators model family engagement activities that can be recreated at PAC meetings/family nights, and informs attendees on the latest information on migrant health.
During Project FIT 2, participants will improve their ability to effectively work and communicate through a variety of activities and discussions focused on their MEP implementation goals.
This training is offered bilingually in Spanish and English and includes lunch.
Core audience: federal program directors/coordinators, migrant coordinators, and migrant Parent Advisory Council officers
