Curious about bringing more technology into your classroom? This course is part of ESD 105’s Ed Tech "Getting Acquainted” series, designed to help educators explore a variety of tools, bots, and devices that support Educational Technology and Computer Science topics.
This course is suitable for all grade levels, subject areas, and levels of experience in teaching Educational Technology, Computer Science, STEM, or STEAM, Participants will gain practical knowledge and approachable ways to introduce the concepts into their classrooms. Planning a school or family event focused on technology? This session will also offer guidance and resources to help you design engaging tech experiences for students and their families.
This course will help you become acquainted with the Sphero indi, an intuitive and engaging robotic platform designed to make coding accessible and fun for young learners. You’ll explore how Sphero indi can be programmed "screenless" using its color-coded tiles to perform various tasks, encouraging creativity and problem-solving. Review the project library by subjects, topics, and features to discover tutorials and activities for learning how to integrate Sphero indi into your lessons. By the end of the course, you'll identify ways to incorporate this bot into your classroom.
