Course Description: 

This series equips ELA educators with practical strategies to integrate AI tools responsibly while maintaining academic integrity, student voice, and the craft of reading and writing instruction. Participants will gain concrete tools that make cheating irrelevant, preserve student authenticity, and improve student thinking.


Session 1AI as a Thought Partner, Not a Ghostwriter 

🚀  Name common myths and accurate realities about AI in ELA
🚀    Use AI to support vocabulary, summaries, claim-evidence-reasoning, and bias spotting
🚀    Apply sentence-level revision moves while keeping author voice
🚀    Draft classroom norms and a student AI Use Contract


Session 2Making Cheating Irrelevant with Process

🚀   Analyze stuck points and refine norms
🚀  Redesign one assignment with checkpoints, usage logs, and triangulated sources
🚀 Tune a rubric to value process and attribution


Event Notes

PLEASE NOTE: The registration fee for this course is $10.00. Once the course has been completed and verified by the instructor, you must pay the clock-hour fee of $3.00 per clock hour, and the administration fee. Claiming three clock hours plus a $5.00 administration fee, and registration of $10.00 is $21.00 total. Clock hour verification from this training takes approximately two weeks.
