Description

Join us for a collaborative and engaging session designed for Grades K-5 teachers! This session will focus on integrating data science into your math and science instruction while addressing real-world problems in mathematics and science.  Participants will gain an understanding of the new data science standards in the revised Washington K–12 math standards, develop capacity to integrate Data Science standards into their math and science instruction, and explore real-world connections to math content and science phenomena.  Connections will be made between the Science and Engineering Practices, the Mathematical Practices, and the Data Science Standards.

Together, we will dive into real-world datasets, investigate interdisciplinary lessons, and build the foundational skills needed to bring data science to life in your classroom. Let’s explore how data science can inspire curiosity and critical thinking in your students!
