Participants will explore how the brain learns to read and why explicit, systematic instruction is essential for literacy success.

Additionally, participants will examine The Simple View of Reading (SVR), a research-backed framework that breaks down reading comprehension into word recognition and language comprehension. Through engaging readings, videos, interactive activities, and reflections, participants will strengthen their instructional knowledge and gain practical strategies for fostering literacy proficiency in all learners.
