Description

Reading digital texts is much the same but also quite different from reading traditional paper or print. Whether it is through online learning or the traditional classroom, students are reading digital texts. What is the impact on student their comprehension? Explore what the research is showing and what strategies we can teach students in maximizing their understanding of digital texts. The workshop focus will be on reading to learn, but those who teach foundational skills may find ideas as well. Participants will view an introductory video, select readings from current literature and research, research topics of own interest, and share ideas with others.

Up to 10 clock hours available.

Event Notes
