Description

Participants will be trained in Modules 1-4 of the Digital Survival Skills curriculum and how to host a MisinfoDay, Jr. at their building. Digital Survival Skills is a series of lessons that can be taught in 3-6 weeks, that focuses on media literacy, confirmation bias, network algorithms and fact checking skills. MisinfoDay, Jr. is a live or virtual open house in which students who were taught the Digital Survival Skills curriculum teach invited members of their community the skills they learned. Community members could be a class of younger students, or their parents/guardians/ grandparents or other adults.

Additional asynchronous work on research and project -11 hours.
