This learning community for teachers of students in upper elementary and the secondary grades will deepen participants’ previous knowledge and learning about teaching students in upper elementary and secondary grades who struggle to read content text materials. Sessions will be built upon collegial discussions, including job-alike breakouts, around foundational concepts of the Science of Reading, and successful literacy strategies and supports for Tier-1 instruction within an MTSS framework. An introductory session is offered on August 17 but not required for this series.
