The OpenSciEd curriculum is an open-access high quality instructional material (HQIM). This asynchronous curriculum launch will introduce Physics Unit 1 (P.1): Energy Flow from Earth’s Systems (the first unit in the OpenSciEd High School Physics program). Participants will experience OpenSciEd instructional routines that scaffold student sense-making around the unit driving question: How can we design more reliable systems to meet our communities’ energy needs? This asynchronous curriculum launch is a semi-structured Canvas course wherein participants complete modules within an assigned window of time. Total time is 21 hours of engagement and activities to complete in Canvas.
