Description
The Safety Care curriculum aligns with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) by providing a comprehensive framework for addressing the behavioral and emotional needs of students across all tiers. Within an MTSS system, Safety Care offers options for each staff member, ensuring that the training caters to the specific needs and roles within the school environment.
- In Tier 1, which focuses on universal interventions for all students, Safety Care provides proactive strategies and de-escalation techniques to promote a positive and safe learning environment, with options for all staff members to participate in these foundational practices.
- In Tier 2, targeted interventions for at-risk students, Safety Care offers additional support and specific behavior management strategies, providing options for staff members to engage in more targeted interventions based on their roles and responsibilities.
- In Tier 3, intensive interventions for students with high-risk behavior, Safety Care provides specialized training and crisis management techniques, ensuring that staff members have the necessary options to address the unique needs of students within this tier.
Overall, Safety Care's alignment with MTSS ensures that there are tailored options for each staff member to effectively support students at different levels of need within the framework of a comprehensive behavior support system.
