Description

Join us on a journey through the groundbreaking book "Street Data" by Shane Safir and Jamila Dugan. In this book study, we delve into the intersection of neuroscience, assessment, and the voices of students to redefine how we perceive and utilize data in education.

Street Data challenges conventional notions of assessment and data analysis by advocating for a holistic approach that integrates the lived experiences and perspectives of students. Drawing upon insights from neuroscience, we’ll explore how to leverage “street data” to enhance educational opportunities through an asset-based model built around students’ brilliance, cultural wealth, and intellectual potential.

Don't miss this opportunity to engage in a thought-provoking dialogue with other educators as we challenge our preconceptions about knowledge, assessment, and what really matters when it comes to educating young people.

Facilitated by Neural Education Champions, Mary Snyder and Dawn Pringle.
