Description

Participants will:

  1. Explore the local school district landscape and STEC's in terms of student populations historically underserved by K-12 education. Identify the proportion of students and educators in your region who are emergent multilingual, migrant, or both. (Report Card data/ESE Asset map).

  5. Gain skills and experience to engage K-12 students in integrated climate change curriculum and civic engagement through community science and action projects.
  6. Create community with other formal teachers, environmental and outdoor education professionals.
  7. Access the Environmental and Sustainability Education standards and best practices for equitable outdoor education (e.g. Characteristics of a High-Quality Outdoor School.)
