Description
The training will facilitate the development of the ESD 113 Level 2 team and should include district level administrators and mental health/assessment practitioners, administrators and practitioners from community mental health, representatives from juvenile services and law enforcement, and other community agencies available to support the team.
This training is intended for those who will be Level 2 community team members. The training will provide the following:
· Review the basic concepts and research of threat assessment with a focus on youth risk factors
· Review of pathway behavior associated with targeted violence
· Review the application of threat assessment concepts and research in a site-based protocol, called a Level 1 and a community-based assessment structure, called a Level 2
· Direct instruction on conducting threat assessments at a school level, including problem solving hurdles to successful referral to a community-based Level 2 threat assessment support team
· Q and A and problem solving that addresses each school district’s/community’s unique needs

Student Threat Assessment Level 2 Training by ZOOM
All prospective attendees of Level 2 should complete Level 1 training prior to attending Level 2 training.
Both trainings are required if you are a community member sitting on the Level 2 Team. Building Administrators should also take both levels of Student Threat Assessment training to have comprehensive understanding of the model and its processes.
