This training provides an overview of the referral and evaluation process for preschool-aged children, with a focus on the transition from Part C early intervention services to Part B special education services. Participants will learn the requirements, timelines, and best practices for ensuring a smooth and coordinated transition for children and families. The session also covers Child Find responsibilities in preschool settings, including identifying, and evaluating children who may be eligible for special education services. Through case examples and collaborative activities, participants will strengthen their understanding of timelines for referral and evaluation, engage families in the process, and use data to inform eligibility and service planning.
