Let’s make your slides work for everyone. In this hands-on session, we’ll explore how to design Google Slide presentations that are both engaging and fully accessible—with the help of Grackle, a simple yet powerful accessibility checker built right into your browser.

We’ll walk through why accessibility matters (hint: it’s not just about compliance), how to spot common issues like poor contrast or confusing reading order, and how to use Grackle to fix them fast. You’ll learn how to structure slides for clarity, write meaningful alt text, create keyboard-friendly navigation, and build presentations that reach every learner—regardless of ability or device.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll have the tools and know-how to create slide decks that aren’t just polished—they’re inclusive, readable, and ready for any audience.

This course can be taken as part of the 70 clock hours required for the General Paraeducator Certificate. It also meets the Advanced Paraeducator Certificate requirements. For more information please refer to the PESB Website.
