PBIS/MTSS ESD 105 2025-2026
Administered by ESD 105
Description
Washington K-12 school districts are required by RCW 28A.320.127 to develop a plan to screen, recognize, and respond to student indicators of social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health (SEBMH). This multi-year intensive learning series will take district community leadership teams, with their partnering educational service districts/licensed mental health agencies through the full process of selecting, installing and implementing universal social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health (SEB-MH) universal screening within the Washington MTSS Framework.
This introductory session will provide participants a thorough understanding of the multi-year project goals and supports and how it aligns to the universal screening requirements in Washington, the best practices, and will demonstrate how the OSPI model template assists teams in developing, leveraging, aligning and strengthening teaming structures and action plans. Teams, with their ESD partners will assess current systems and practices that support screening, as well provide opportunities to develop an initial action plan.
District teams will be supported with on-going coaching, from their partnering educational service district, to assess their readiness and needs for installing universal screening in compliance with Washington and National best practices.
