Preschool Referral and Evaluations (Part C to B Transition and Child Find for 3-5 Year Olds) is a self-paced asynchronous foundational course that seeks to provide an overview of the referral and evaluation process for preschool-aged children. Participants will learn the requirements, timelines, and best practices for ensuring a smooth and coordinated transition for children and families. The course also covers Child Find responsibilities in preschool settings, including identifying, and evaluating children who may be eligible for special education services. Through guided practice, discussion posts and quizzes, participants will strengthen their understanding of timelines for referral and evaluation, engage families in the process, and use data to inform eligibility and service planning.
