Description

Join us for a data science experience that brings together curiosity, collaboration, and data literacy! Through activities, digital tools, and rich discussion, educators will explore how to help students notice patterns, ask meaningful questions, and make sense of data in authentic and engaging ways.

This course blends synchronous collaboration and asynchronous exploration using platforms like CODAPDataWISE, and Tuva, along with interactive strategies such as the Question Formulation TechniqueNotice & Wonder, and Slow Reveal. Participants will connect data literacy to real-world contexts—like climate change—and learn to help students distinguish between correlation and causation, visualize data effectively, and communicate findings with clarity and purpose.

Collaboration is Key!

Work with colleagues to share insights, reflect on your practice, and apply strategies that make data learning equitable, relevant, and fun for all students.
