Description

Special education teachers are at the heart of inclusive education. In this two-part professional development series, you’ll explore how AI can serve as a supportive tool to enhance—not replace—your expertise. Through real-world examples and hands-on activities, you’ll learn practical ways to use and integrate AI to personalize instruction, improve accessibility, and strengthen IEP implementation. We’ll also address ethical considerations to ensure technology works for your students, not the other way around. By the end of the series, you’ll leave with actionable strategies, curated resources, and a plan for integrating AI effectively while keeping students’ needs at the center of every decision.

Tool Spotlight: We’ll be using Colleague AI as the primary platform for this training. You’ll have the opportunity to explore its features during and after the sessions. If your district uses a different AI tool, that’s perfectly fine—you can apply the strategies and activities using any platform approved by your district.
