Be Prepared to Act in an Emergency 

This comprehensive hybrid training equips participants with the essential skills to respond to medical emergencies and life-threatening bleeding. Successful completion of all online modules and proficient hands-on skills demonstration results in First Aid/CPR certification.

Course Format
Part 1: Online Learning (Required First)

Complete all online modules before scheduling an in-person skills demonstration. 

Online Training Includes: 

1. Health & Safety Institute (HSI): HSI First Aid, CPR/AED (all ages)
2. College of Surgeon: Stop-the-Bleed
3. VectorSolutions: Opioid Overdose Response Awareness
   • NCESD EMPLOYEES: You must have taken this course between July 2025 and June 2026.
     • NCESD VectorSolutions course, Opioid Overdose Response Awareness, includes a review of NCESD Policy & Procedures 2905 & 2905P.
   • Non-NCESD Participants*: If your district uses VectorSolutions, you must have completed this between July 2025 and June 2026. 
     • Review your district's Opioid Overdose Response Policy and Procedure (#2905 and 2905P) if your district uses WSSDA policies and procedures.  
     • *If your district does not use VectorSolutions, please notify Sheila Salmon so another option will be made available to you.  
       
       

After enrollment in pdEnroller, you will receive an email from HSI with your unique link to the HSI learning modules. A separate email will be sent with the links to the Stop-the-Bleed Interactive course and how to access the Opioid Response videos.

Part 2: In-Person Skills Demonstration
Once certificates are received, you will be sent a booking link to schedule one of the following dates:

• April 17, 2026
• May 22, 2026

🕙Time: Beginning at 8:00 AM 
⏱ Format:  One-hour sessions

👥Capacity: Up to 4 participants per hour
📍Location: NCESD
👟Note: Skills practice occurs on the floor; please dress comfortably.

Participants must complete ALL online coursework AND the hands-on-skills demonstration by May 22, 2026.
