Description
This training is intended to build upon the prior learning around implications for Disability Justice and Comprehensive Sexual Health Education (CSHE), with a particular focus on the neurodiversity movement and supporting neurodivergent students, including those with Autism, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. Participants will learn the history of the neurodiversity movement, implications for language, and particular intersections for consideration in CSHE. Finally participants will have time to reflect on and practice skills applying this knowledge to current CSHE materials and making inclusive accommodations.
Event Notes
This training event is intended to support school district staff in meeting legislative requirements for comprehensive sexual health education as described in RCW 28A.300.475, and sex trafficking awareness and prevention education as described in RCW 28A.320.168.
