An overview of best practices to support our students furthest from educational justice.
Prevention/intervention approaches to the crisis cycle and supporting participants to examine their role in student behavior.
Best practices for implementation of student discipline procedures and equitable approaches to reduce disproportionate outcomes in student discipline.
Participants will learn how to:
- Recognize early warning signs of escalating behavior or crisis situations.
- Apply evidence-based de-escalation techniques that prioritize student dignity and staff safety.
- Reflect on self-care practices to sustain resilience and effectiveness in high-stress situations.
