Description
Recognizing the seriousness of teen dating violence (TDV) and the central role schools play in TDV prevention and response, many U.S. states have enacted laws to address TDV in schools. These laws are upstream, structural interventions that can require school districts to adopt written policies or prevention programs. This interactive training will present policy-relevant research examining TDV laws and their effectiveness at the state, school district, and school levels, and introduce a new toolkit to help districts and schools implement TDV policies and programs.
Event Notes
This training event is intended to support school district staff in meeting legislative requirements for comprehensive sexual health education as described in RCW 28A.300.475, and sex trafficking awareness and prevention education as described in RCW 28A.320.168.
