Description

OESD 114 is pleased to sponsor a two-part learning series with Aidan Key, a national public speaker, award-winning organizer, expert consultant, author, and educator whose work has positively affected the lives of gender-diverse children, teens, and adults worldwide.  These learning opportunities are open to anyone who has questions or is interested in understanding gender issues and their implications in our public education system.

Part 1 will take place on March 3, 2026, from 4:30-6:00. It is an introduction to gender diversity and features an interactive journey through the AEIOU Framework, a tool educators can use to deepen their understanding of gender-inclusive practices and approaches in the classroom and beyond.

Part 2 – Participants will select which Part 2 session they would like to attend:

• March 10, 2026, 1:00-2:30 – Counselors

• March 10, 2026, 4:30-6:00 – Teachers

• March 11, 2026, 1:00-2:30 – Administrators

• March 11, 2026,  4:30-6:00 – Coaches

• March 12, 2026, 1:00-2:30 – Support staff

• March 12, 2026, 4:30-6:00 – Support staff

The second session’s content is tailored to specific roles and includes interactive case studies that will both challenge and reinforce the fundamental concepts learned in Part 1.  Flexibility to participate in any session due to scheduling is an option, with the understanding that the prioritized content focus will remain.

The book "Trans Children in Today's Schools" will be mailed to participants after they attend these sessions.
