Description
The Spring 2026 AI Integration series builds on the success of our Fall 2025 cohort’s foundational work in AI literacy. In this next phase, Capital Region ESD 113, in partnership with Wa He Lut Indian School and the Yelm School District, shifts from educator-focused professional development to direct student implementation—equipping teachers to bring AI tools into their classrooms with students in ways that are pedagogically grounded, culturally responsive, and ethically sound.
This series is designed for educators serving Native American students at Wa He Lut Indian School and Yelm Community Schools, with student access to MagicSchool AI. Participants will experience AI as their students do, build safe, monitored AI learning environments, design AI-integrated lessons centered on learning goals, and develop critical digital literacy skills alongside their students. Over four hands-on sessions, we will explore how to thoughtfully and safely leverage Artificial Intelligence in your classroom. This series is designed to equip you with practical frameworks to seamlessly scaffold learning, protect student cognitive work, and foster critical digital literacy. Get ready to collaborate, experiment, and build your confidence as an AI-empowered educator.
The guiding principle throughout: AI is an assistant, not an authority. Each session asks educators to evaluate whether an AI implementation advances student thinking—whether students will think more critically, create something meaningful, or engage more deeply—or whether AI is simply doing the work for them.
Registration by invitation ONLY.
