This professional development session will introduce educators to how the Nazi regime leveraged propaganda to weaponize

fear and marginalize their perceived enemies. Educators will engage with instructional strategies for helping students improve

their media literacy skills and become critical media consumers across all formats. Using Nazi-era propaganda as a scaffold, it

will explore the methods employed in visual media to shape public opinion and attitudes. Attendees will be introduced to lesson

plans designed to promote media literacy skills related to visual and print media.
