Description
Educators are encountering complex learning and behavior challenges every day, and while increasingly common, knowing how to navigate them isn’t always obvious. In this interactive session, participants will explore neurodiversity-affirming strategies through a series of real classroom scenarios shared by practicing private school educators across different schools. Each case highlights a familiar challenge, from engagement and regulation to accommodations and classroom expectations.
Working through these examples together, participants will learn to identify barriers to learning and consider practical ways to redesign environments, expectations, and supports so more students can access learning. Grounded in the principles of neurodiversity and the social model of disability, the session focuses on shifting from fixing students to removing barriers. Participants will leave with concrete strategies and new ways of thinking about common classroom dilemmas.
