Description
This professional development workshop explores how to gamify climate science instruction in K–12 classrooms to increase engagement and deepen understanding of environmental concepts. Participants will learn how to transform topics such as climate systems, human impact, and sustainability into interactive challenges, simulations, and role-based scenarios. Through hands-on activities, educators will design standards-aligned lessons that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. The session will also address assessment strategies and ways to connect learning to real-world environmental action. By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped to create meaningful, game-based climate science experiences that inspire student curiosity and responsibility.
